Happy New Year

The weather was terrible today, dull grey and rainy, so it was a short 2 hour ride on the recently rebuilt winter bike. It reminded me how poor my CODA wheels are compared with a good pair of Mavics. I'm not flying up hills at the moment anyway but climbing on these wheels is like riding up a sand dune. I started reading William Fotheringham's biography of Tom Simpson today [ "Put me back on my bike" ]. It's pretty good so far and if the weather keeps up like this I shall have it finished in no time.
