Have you ever dreamt of cycling?

This maybe a rather bizarre post but it surprised me when I thought about it. I can honestly say that despite my daily immersion in cycling I cannot remember having consciously dreamt of cycling. I met Bob Dylan once, he was busking in the street and I bought him a coffee.

Comments:

ok...I think you've been on the turbo trainer far too long now or too much of that coffee before bedtime...

...seriously though, I have, but of course, whilst riding the bike itself; '..and the crowd roars as he scales the near vertiginous slopes in a blur of colour, sweat pouring onto his frame looking down at the whirring gnashing of metal on a 39:21 gear just past the shops..damn!

Cycling's so often the last thing I think about before I fall asleep--I'm sure there's some overlap in there somewhere.

Always dreamt about being a cross country skier myself. :)

Thankfully, it's probably more coffee than turbo trainer.

Out on the bike is a great place to day dream but I always get songs stuck in my head. You know, the last song on the radio before you leave the house. It just goes round and round my head for 50 miles. On a good day it's Greenday, on a bad day its its S Club Seven!

Iain, I just want you to know that I dreamt of riding a bike just last night, so it is possible. It was a rusty old 10-speed, though. I don't know where that came from.

Caloi - Now you're just trying to make me jealous ;-)
Maybe your subconscious is telling you to upgrade.

Mags - is it too late to change disciplines?

Iain,

hehehehhe... yeah, I made a commitment to cycling and I don't think a switch is very doable. XC skiing is very, very technical. Not to mention that I'm 100% in love with cycling.
