Is this a joke?

Just when you thought things can't get any worse.

I thought there were some quirks about Floyd's stage 17. First he screamed at the mechanic when he changed bikes, then he waived his arms agressively to clear space with people who surrounded him at the finish. And throughout the race he, was obsessively hydrating. If I took a chemical boost, I might be extra irritable and extra interested in taking on as much fluid as possible to skew test results.

Yes but, considering all the speculation that his performance the previous day was due to insufficient hydration, the extra fluids didn't seem at all odd to me at the time.

As for the other "quirks," ...

Testosterone won't give an overnight recovery! I use it, but for a therapeautic use, under the care of an endocrinologist for a metabolic disease and even at HUGE doses, it takes days to weeks to have any effect. The heat stress and exertion involved in the effort that Floyd exerted will naturally raise both Testosterone and Epitestosterone levels. The tell will be if they find Gonadotropic precurser chemicals at artificially high levels. Landis is also using cortisone for degenerative bone disease treatment and cortisone will raise Tst and Epitst levels marginally.

you can say whatever you want about whats happening, but you cant discount the other 6 tests, three before stage 17 and three after that all came up negative. Also, like tom was saying, Testosterone wouldn't even help his performance the next day. Why would he risk his whole racing career for one race, even if it is the Tour. Something doesnt add up here. And besides, cyclists dont do testosterone, they do epo and they blood dope. We need more oxygen to our muscles, not bulk them up. Personally, i dont buy it.
