A new era ...?
... or does this mean another five years of Discovery domination?
Comments:
Yep probably seeing as they have the budget and experience to get the latest 'training techniques' and stay three steps ahead of the game.

I dunno about that. I mean, they also gave up half of their domestiques this year. It's like they have stars and nothing else--Leipheimer, Basso, Salvodelli, Danielson.
Leipheimer's willingness to go for other races instead of the Tour will probably be a saving grace as far as team unity. I'm sure Salvodelli's a little bummed about not being the main guy for the Giro anymore.

You've got a point Caloi , there could be some personality clashes next year. Savoldelli's been sacked from Discovery, he's with Astana now, they probably saw the clash with Basso coming.

Whoops, my research is a little out-of-date.
I've got to say, though, that I think it was a little stupid of CSC to drop Basso in the first place--particularly when you consider that the only thing linking Basso to the case was the possibility that his dog's name was 'Birillo'.
That's not to say he wasn't doping, but it is to say their evidence ought to be a little stronger than that.
There has been too much firing on account of 'suspicion' lately.

They may have been a little more sure he would be convicted when they released him. Riis must be gutted to see him back so soon. His ex teammates dont seem too happy about it. Voigt's had a few things to say about his return. The peloton seems less prepared to close ranks and keep silent these days.

anytime you watch them ride away at such great pace up a steep mountainside with such serenity we think, wow, that's unbelieveable...and that is it...
