Just found this interesting link to
Cycling Films Big List while investigating music and cyling. There's more than a few in there I wouldn't mind seeing. Amazon here I come!

A day of strange coincidences has led me to start up a "side bar project" on the blog. [ sounds like
David Brent, but bear with me ]
Firstly I was told of a upcoming gig at the Guildford Civic [
Red Dog Night ]. Rumoured to be playing is the band Abdoujaparov [
web site ] . They were started by ex-Carter USM guitarist Les Carter [ aka Fruitbat ] and are named after the famous sprinter from Uzbekistan.
Then, this afternoon a group of like minded people were bought together by chance at a small gathering at work. The subject soon shifted to the shared interests of music and cycling after a brief mention of the upcoming Adoujaparov gig and Kraftwerk we moved onto more obscure cycling references in bands and music. And so begins the quest to compile a list of references [ see music to ride bikes to ] to cycling and pop music. [
recommendations would be more than welcome ]

Thanks to
jb for his recent posting about his
ride round the potential 2006 prologue course...excellent stuff. I admit it though, I had to lookup what a "
curate's egg" was.
