Well, how about that then, Armstrong just edged out Schumacher as the BBC sports overseas personality of the year.
Look out tonight for the BBC's 50th sports personality of the year. It's a look back over the past 50 years of the award so Jacques Anquetil and Tom Simpson should get a mention.
There's no mention of Eddy Merckx though, look's like he was beaten to the Overseas awards by Pele, Trevino, Korbut, Laver and Ali. The roll of honour makes for some interesting reading.
I couldn't see the overseas nominations for this year but maybe Lance Armstrong will get a mention.
